Eldfesten/Fire party – Chaharshanbeh Soori in Persian – is a popular non-religious holiday that has been celebrated among many different peoples for thousands of years to greet the arrival of spring. It is always celebrated on the Tuesday preceding the Iranian New Year, Nouroz, which in turn falls on the spring equinox.
It has become a tradition in Kungsträdgården in Stockholm and is a party for diversity and integration with many thousands of visitors. Manoto TV broadcasted this event live all over the world and one of our SNGs did the live satellite transmission for them.
